Faith and Mental Health

John 15 – You speak volumes to me, your love for us is spilt out right there. Clear as day, not only are we reminded to love you, but you reassure us over and over that you will love in return just as your father loves you in return. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you” John 15:7. Weather we want to believe it or not he is with us. Always. As we speak to him and think that we are not getting a response; he is responding throughout the day. Giving us exactly what we need to continue on.

Feeling alone and depressed is a feeling I know all too well, and sadly so do too many people around the world. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” John 15:18. This verse got me through a lot while I was struggling. For some reason this sad truth made me feel less alone. Jesus was hated and questioned by many, however that did not stop him. He knew what he had to do, and he knew at the end of the day God would get him through whatever struggles are ahead of him. To the people who feel alone and hated in this world, please know you are not hated by this world and even in your darkest hours Jesus is with you.
